A Strong, Local Workforce

Our local community colleges are engines of our Central Valley economy. As a trustee, Rob will focus on ensuring our community colleges provide students the highest level of classroom instruction and hands-on, applied learning. He is committed to investing in our First Responders Center at Fresno City College, which will train our local firefighters, police officers, and EMTs. He will also work to expand partnerships with local trade and business communities to ensure our students have the skills necessary to meet the demands of the 21st-century economy.

New Pathways to Opportunity

Whether they wish to pursue a vocational career after community college, or to transfer to a four-year university, our students deserve the education and training necessary to meet their goals. Rob is committed to expanding dual enrollment programs, which allow high school students to earn college credit early and begin their transition to college. He is also committed to investing in career technical education (CTE) programs, such as at Fresno City College’s new West Campus, which will allow students to succeed in a modern, competitive workforce.

Investing In Teachers

As an educator himself, Rob understands the value and importance of teachers in training our next generation’s workforce. As a trustee, Rob will work to ensure our community college faculty and staff have the tools and resources necessary to prepare our students for the workforce of today and of the future.

Fiscal Responsibility

Being a good steward of taxpayer dollars is a critical responsibility of any public servant. As a trustee, Rob will work to ensure our tax dollars are being spent efficiently and effectively.
